About Star Dance Academy

Star Dance Academy is run by sisters Nina Read (Principal) and Leigh-Ann Nicholson (Administration Manager). Together the business partners formed Star Dance Academy in February 2008 and have worked hard to build up the school which now has classes in various locations throughout Surrey. They will never lose sight of the key objectives which are to make everyone feel part of one big family and for the dance classes to be a fun experience for all.

Nina Read Principal

Nina started dancing aged 4 at Italia Conti Academy of Theatre Arts in London. She went on to obtain her teaching qualifications at Shimmi Shake (Bromley) where she taught ballet, tap, modern, street jazz and
hip hop for many years before realising her dream and opening her own school.

Leigh-Ann Nicholson Administration Manager

Leigh-Ann started dancing aged 5 also at Italia Conti. There she learnt ballet, tap, modern and jazz. She also took part in freestyle competitions with Nina. Leigh-Ann went onto work for a major bank as a P.A and
stayed for 16 years until her 3rd child and
Star Dance Academy came along.
